E-Manifest Explored
As the summer of 2011 nears many importers are bracing for the implementation of the E-Manifest Program. The E-Manifest Program is a new initiative by the Canada Border Services Agency and the Government of Canada aimed at improving security regulations on Canada's cross border trade. E-Manifest will make many changes to the way both Canadian and American importers do business within Canada, including: stricter regulations, the implementation of the ACE manifest, a minimum 1 hour wait time for customs processing, and a removal of all temporary and intermittent carrier codes.
