Branch Operations Supervisor

Frontier Supply Chain Solutions Inc. (Canada), is an established organization providing solutions to our clients’ freight needs.  Our specialization is in warehousing, fulfillment, and parcel distribution.  Our facilities located in Regina and Saskatoon efficiently service our Saskatchewan clients.

We are seeking an energetic and forward thinking leader to manage the day to day activities in our Saskatoon facility.  This permanent full time role is suitable for an incumbent that has a few years of operational experience and is looking for their next step in their career.

Under the leadership of the Operations Manager, the Branch Operations Supervisor will ensure all activities are completed to meet our service expectations to our Clients.  

Responsibilities include the coordination and participation in all branch activities such as shipping & receiving, dispatching, branch administration reporting, occupational health and safety adherence including workers compensation.  Other tasks include activities such as training, new hire onboarding, recruitment, discipline, termination, coaching, performance management etc. Building, maintaining, and nurturing business relationships with our Clients, Vendors, and Carriers will also be a focus.

The following skills and abilities are required:

§ 2+ plus years of warehousing, freight handling in a fast paced warehouse environment.
§ Previous supervisory or managerial experience in a warehouse setting an asset.

§ Previous experience reviewing and distributing work assignments to others.

§ Ability to foster a culture of teamwork.

§ Ability to provide feedback and possible solutions in operational or longer term strategic planning meetings.

§ Ability to proactively anticipate and resolve client and carrier issues.

§ Display confidence in decision making.

§ Ability to foster, build, maintain business relationships with staff, vendors, carriers, other business partners.

§ Ability to pull reports and analyze data to improve efficiencies, adopt operational or staffing changes, review processes, and/or to add value to client satisfaction.

§ Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.
§ Ability to work independently as well as a team member
§ Practical experience with Microsoft Office; used as a resource for communication, analysis etc.

§ Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
§ Experience completing Workers Compensation documents an asset.

§ Forklift certification an asset.
§ Surpass criminal record check. Be bondable if required.
