Position- Long Haul Truck Driver Trainee – Between US & Canada

– Receiving and cross docking cargo using the appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, hand dollies. Also hand bombing freight as necessary.
– Verifying that all documentation matches the freight description
– Verifying and noting the count and condition of the freight received
– Use computer software, scanning devices, email and warehouse program for tracking and tracking freight
– Accurately labelling freight to destination
– Unloading, Loading, and Securing freight inside trailers and our fleet of vehicles (van, 1 ton, 5 ton, trailer)
– Verifying and completing required documentation and reports
– Communicating freight drop off and pick with company paid and Owner Operators throughout the day; including at the end of the day when securing the final freight/cargo for the day and/or preparing for the next morning’s pickups and deliveries.
– Developing and maintaining excellent customer service with internal and external customers at all times
– Performing various internal and external warehouse maintenance tasks, including sweeping & keeping tidy all warehouse floors, cleaning and maintaining a clean dock and loading bays, cleaning & storing equipment, shoveling & keeping clear emergency exit doorways, warehouse garbage removal, general warehouse upkeep etc.

Frontier Supply Chain Solutions Inc. is medium sized provider of US Customs Services, Trade Consulting, and Supply Chain Logistics, including parcel and courier delivery.
We are currently seeking an Office Clerk to join our team of customer service professionals. The Office Clerk will be trained from the ground up; exposure to customs paperwork and training in the operations area of the business will be provided. Supply Chain Logistics is a growing long term career field for those interested in the aspects of international trade.
Based in our head office in Winnipeg, the Office Clerk – Customs would be responsible for processing customs and operations documents on behalf of our clients.
Hours will be during the evenings and weekends as needed by the company.
Daily tasks include:
-data entry
-coordination of and preparation of shipment paperwork
-on-going communication with our clients as well as internal departments with respect to the status of our clients shipments and their movement of goods into Canada.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
-flexibility and versatility in their general office skill set.
-Customer service skills
-Multitasking
-A desire to learn and grow within the company will be required.
-Strong time management skills with proven ability to multitask.
-Exceptional customer service skills with both Internal and External clients.
-Superior attention to detail.
-Strong English communication skills – both written and oral.
-Reliable, demonstrated exceptional work ethic.
-Experience with computers using customized software programs, Outlook email, MS Word and Intermediate Excel skills required.
-Experience with shipping documents, inventory lists, bills of lading, or specific customs documents an asset.
-Previous education or experience in supply chain logistics or a related area is beneficial.
